Grinding Safety

eTraining’s Grinding Safety course is an online safety training program designed for general industry workers who operate, work near, or supervise grinding operations. The course teaches workers how to recognize the hazards of abrasive grinding machinery and follow safe work practices in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 (Abrasive Wheel Machinery), the general industry standard for grinding safety. It is delivered directly by eTraining, an online safety training provider.

Training focuses on the hazards addressed in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 — wheel breakage, flying debris, direct contact with the wheel, and eye and face injuries — which are the specific conditions the standard was written to prevent. The course also covers ANSI B7.1, the American National Standards Institute consensus standard for the safety of grinding wheels, on which OSHA bases many of its detailed grinding requirements, so learners understand both the regulatory and consensus-standard sides of grinding safety.

The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.
