OSHA Fall Protection Training

eTraining’s Fall Protection Training course is a comprehensive online safety program developed under OSHA’s Fall Protection standard 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M.

Falls are the leading cause of death in the construction industry, accounting for over 300 fatalities and thousands of serious injuries every year in the United States. OSHA requires fall protection whenever workers are at heights of 6 feet or more in construction, 4 feet in general industry, and whenever working over dangerous equipment or machinery.

This awareness-level course teaches workers to identify fall hazards, understand fall protection systems (guardrails, safety nets, personal fall arrest systems), select and use proper fall protection equipment, and implement safe work practices at elevation.

The course covers 4 parts across 7 units, is fully narrated with photos, video, and interactivity, and takes approximately 1–2 hours to complete. Upon passing with a score of 70% or better, participants receive a personalized certificate of completion.

eTraining also offers a Competent Person Fall Protection Course for supervisors and a Spanish-language version.
