Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Training
eTraining’s H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) Training course is an online safety training program designed for workers who may be exposed to hydrogen sulfide gas in the workplace. The course teaches workers how to properly prepare for, identify, and react to hydrogen sulfide exposure in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1000 (Air Contaminants). It is delivered through eTraining, an online safety training provider.
Training covers the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen sulfide, common sources and industries where H2S is found, the health effects of H2S exposure at different concentrations (from the characteristic rotten egg odor at low levels to rapid unconsciousness and death at high levels), detection and monitoring methods, engineering and administrative controls, personal protective equipment including respiratory protection, emergency response procedures, and rescue considerations.
The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
This course is one of the most comprehensive H2S training programs available online, at approximately 3 hours in length.
