Ergonomics Training for the Site Worker
eTraining’s Ergonomics Training for the Site Worker is an online safety training program designed for workers in construction, manufacturing, warehousing, and other physical job site environments. The course teaches workers how to recognize ergonomic hazards and apply ergonomic principles to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in accordance with OSHA’s General Duty Clause (Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act) and OSHA ergonomics guidelines. It is delivered through eTraining, an online safety training provider.
Training focuses on ergonomic risk factors common to site workers, including improper lifting techniques, repetitive motions, sustained awkward postures, forceful exertions, vibration, and contact stress. The course covers the history and principles of ergonomics, signs and forms of physical stress, correction methods, OSHA regulatory requirements, hazard recognition, the employer’s Ergonomic Work Plan, and the benefits of ergonomics for both employees and employers.
The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Note: eTraining also offers a separate Ergonomics Training for the Office Worker course for employees who work primarily at computer workstations.
