Electrical Safety in HAZMAT Environments

The Electrical Safety in HAZMAT Environments course is an interactive online training program designed to help facilities comply with OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120).

The course helps employees understand the hazards of uncontrolled energy in hazardous materials environments and how to reduce or eliminate these potential hazards.

Topics covered include the different types of hazards associated with electricity, why electricity and hazardous materials should not mix, different types of engineering controls and work practices, and how the National Electric Code (NEC) categorizes HAZMAT environments that contain ignitable materials.

The course uses a combination of audio, full-motion video, text, and colorful graphics. It is divided into logical sections so information is easily understood and retained. It is provided in partnership with MARCOM, a top-rated safety and compliance training content provider.

The course is 100% online, self-paced, and accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
