HAZMAT Labeling
The HAZMAT Labeling course is an interactive online training program designed to help facilities comply with OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120).
The course helps employees understand different labeling systems and how to use these systems to reduce or eliminate potential exposure to hazardous materials in their work environments.
Areas covered in the course include where hazardous materials labels are used, OSHA labeling requirements, common labeling systems, DOT “Hazard Class” labels and placards, the Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS), target organ information labels, the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) Labeling System, hazardous waste labels, and more.
The course uses a combination of audio, full-motion video, text, and colorful graphics. It is divided into logical sections so information is easily understood and retained. It is provided in partnership with MARCOM, a top-rated safety and compliance training content provider.
The course is approximately 45 to 60 minutes long, 100% online, self-paced, and accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
