Cold Stress

eTraining’s Cold Stress course is an online safety training program that teaches employees how to recognize, prevent, and respond to cold stress hazards in the workplace. The course covers the health effects of working in cold environments, including hypothermia, frostbite, and trench foot, and what workers and employers can do to protect against cold-related injuries and illnesses.

Training covers how the body loses heat, risk factors for cold stress, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of hypothermia, frostbite, and trench foot, first aid and emergency response for cold stress injuries, engineering and administrative controls for cold environments, and the importance of proper cold-weather clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE).

The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones.
