Hazardous Waste Program Development Training

Hazardous Waste Program Development training is built in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), 40 CFR 260 to 279. It covers waste determination, the three generator categories, satellite and central accumulation, container and label rules, the manifest system and spill response.

• Work out which generator category you fall into each month, using the thresholds in Table 1 at 40 CFR 262.13.
• Run the accumulation clock right: 90 days for an LQG under 40 CFR 262.17(a), and 180 or 270 days for an SQG.
• Chase a missing manifest on the real schedule: 45 days to make the call, 60 days to file, under 40 CFR 262.42.
