Fall Protection for the Competent Person

The Fall Protection for the Competent Person course is designed for supervisors and workers with safety responsibilities on job sites where fall hazards exist. The course covers OSHA 29 CFR 1926.500, the standard for fall protection in construction, and provides comprehensive training on fall protection systems, hazard recognition, rescue procedures, and competent person responsibilities.

  • In about 4 to 5 self-paced hours, learners review OSHA Subpart M, equipment inspection, rescue planning, written programs and the training records employers need to maintain.
  • Understand when fall protection is required and how common systems such as guardrails, safety nets, warning lines and personal fall arrest systems are used.
  • Complete the 100% online course at your own pace, pass the final exam and print a personalized Certificate of Completion right away.

If your needs to not require a full, competent person level course, we also offer an awareness level Fall Protection Training Course.
