Lead Safety Training for Construction

eTraining’s Lead Safety Training for Construction course is an online safety awareness program designed for construction workers who may be exposed to lead in the workplace. The course teaches workers how to recognize lead hazards, understand the health effects of lead exposure, and apply proper prevention and protection measures in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.62 (Lead in Construction). It is delivered through eTraining, an online safety training provider.

Training covers the properties and common sources of lead in construction (lead-based paint removal, demolition, renovation, bridge and structural steel work, welding and cutting on lead-coated surfaces), the acute and chronic health effects of lead exposure (damage to the nervous system, kidneys, reproductive system, and blood), OSHA exposure limits (Permissible Exposure Limit of 50 µg/m³ and Action Level of 30 µg/m³), air monitoring and sampling methods, medical surveillance requirements, engineering controls, work practices, respiratory protection, personal protective equipment, and proper lead disposal techniques.

The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
