Asbestos Safety for the Competent Person

eTraining’s Asbestos Safety for the Competent Person course is an online training program designed for supervisors and workers with safety responsibilities on construction sites where asbestos-containing materials are present. The course covers safe work practices for constructing, renovating, maintaining, demolishing, or salvaging structures with asbestos in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1101. It is delivered entirely online and is fully self-paced.

Asbestos is a naturally occurring material found in many building products that is considered very hazardous to health and is heavily regulated by both OSHA and the EPA. This training covers removing asbestos materials, installing asbestos-containing materials, cleaning up asbestos spills, and the transporting, storing, and housekeeping involved with asbestos-containing materials on construction sites. The course also covers the duties and responsibilities of a job site competent person to aid the student in achieving this designation per OSHA’s competent person requirement.

The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
