Confined Space in Construction

eTraining’s Confined Space in Construction course is an online safety training program designed for construction workers who may enter or work in and around confined spaces on construction job sites. The course teaches workers how to recognize confined space hazards and follow safe entry procedures in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA (Confined Spaces in Construction). It is delivered through eTraining, an online safety training provider.

Training focuses on the physical, chemical, and biological hazards associated with confined spaces, including hazardous atmospheres (oxygen deficiency, flammable gases, toxic substances), engulfment hazards, entrapment hazards, and other recognized safety and health risks. The course covers the differences between permit-required and non-permit-required confined spaces, atmospheric monitoring, ventilation requirements, entry permits, rescue planning, and the roles and responsibilities of entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors.

The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

Note: eTraining also offers a separate Confined Space course built to the General Industry standard (29 CFR 1910.146) and a Confined Space Supervisor course for in-depth supervisory-level training. A Spanish version of this course is also available.
