Head Protection Safety
eTraining’s Head Protection Safety course is an online safety training program designed for workers who face head injury hazards in the workplace. The course teaches workers how to identify head hazards, understand the types and classes of hard hats, and select and use head protection properly in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.135 (Head Protection). It is delivered through eTraining, an online safety training provider.
Training focuses on the types of head hazards found in the workplace (falling objects, bumping against fixed objects, electrical contact, and flying debris), the ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 standard for industrial head protection, hard hat types (Type I for top impact, Type II for top and lateral impact), hard hat classes (Class E for electrical, Class G for general, Class C for comfort/ventilated), proper fitting, inspection, care, maintenance, and replacement criteria.
The course is 100% online, fully self-paced, and accessible on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
